I am a fairly new player, playing Hoard of the Dragon Queen.
Would like a few suggestions about the Journey from Elturull to Waterdeep. Specifically the part where you need to find out information from the Cultists? Getting information is not my strong point! Any ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Rogues and rangers come in handy here. Spying (via ease dropping) or trying to speak w/ the Cultists should net you some information over time. If anyone has SPEAK WITH ANIMALS, they could as the horses (or whatever animal is acting as a beast of burden). Also, should you have a rogue in the party, sneaking through the Cultists things may net you some useful information.

DM: Are you sure?
Wizard: Yes. I cast the Wish spell and I wish that everybody loves me!
DM: You transform into an irresistible, magnificent feast. It was so great, all who participated in devouring you tell of the joy they felt with tears in their eyes and all who hear the tale only feel sorrow that they weren't there to eat.
