So playing in a homebrew epic my local D&D group setup based on Invasion From the Planet of Tarrasques and my goal for the weekend is to banish a Tarrasque somewhere for the lolz via Planeshift. Question is where should I send them (yes I know, assuming it even works cuz Magic Resistance and all that jazz)? First thing that came to mind was the Abyss. Big scary chaotic demons fighting the Tarrasque but then it made me wonder where other interesting places one could send a Tarrasque and not worry about some angry God or Goddess like Lolth dropping it back in on you while you're long resting for the chaos. Stygia seems like a decent place. Tarrasques aren't cold resistant and its a barren wasteland for the most part so probably no one interested/capable of sending it back. Thoughts?
Cause I’d send it someplace it would enjoy, maybe meet a nice friendly fellow banished Tarrasque and possibly have a deeply meaningful relationship that ends with a slow burn sunset and a diary of all the things they never shared but always wanted to be open about...
Carceri. Getting in is much easier than getting out.
Abyss. Throw it in deep enough and your odds of ever seeing it again are pretty low. Downsides include the possibility of it becoming a demon lord of destruction.
Plane of air. I dont think this plane has a bottom. Can you fall to death (without hitting ground)?
Anywhere in the nine hells is very likely to piss off an archdevil.
Far realms. Where unfathomable beings exist and the concept of time, space, matter, and energy does not.
Well the event organizers had this possibility considered and I took a happy 132 damage after making my attempt even after the divination wizard caused it to fail the save due to a mystical protection Halaster had put on the Tarrasques he was sending to destroy Waterdeep. Curses to Halaster and his protection of said Tarrasques. Survived at exactly one hit point and we survived with no casualties after a few close calls. Thanks for the responses all. lol

Can we get a 20th level wizard to create a Tarrasque demi-plane and send them there? Then maybe just scry on it every so often, feel all warm and fuzzy, and maybe create a whole anime series out of this plot?
Going along with what you said the wizard could make multiple planes and then each plane can consist of one type of monster living together in harmony. Also you could go there and xp farm.
Gehenna (any of the planes), since they're tilted at 45% or so. That beastie starts to fall and never gets back up. Alternatively, I support it being sent to a place with more tarrasques, so it can be with its family.

Is your goal to kill it?

How about.... hm... let’s see.... the Shadowfell? Nothing there to send it back, and/or nothing that can. I don’t think the Raven Queen can do that.

Haven’t used this account in forever. Still a big fan of crawling claws.
If I wanted to be rid of it, probably Limbo, there are people with the ability to send it back, but they most likely wouldn't care.
Well, if you hit, you can use it to banish that tarrasque, so.. yeah. Except, good luck making it fail with 3 instant saves per day.

Definitely addressed that in the post... But sure, be a non-contributing killjoy.
Hey ! I contributed! I told the post before me that you can use it, and I have already posted! I’m no killjoy!
Now, for more ideas... Elemental Plane of Water sounds fun. Drown it, feed it to a kraken, etc..
Well, no seeing that now, she/he has edited it after I posted. But still!

The inhabitants of Mechanus would not know what to do with a tarrasque. It's a great big bull in a well-organized china shop.

Not really a thing in D&D, but nothing bad can possibly happen in the plane of Hello Cthulhu!
Even the Tarrasque would be nerfed into a helpless, cuddly cartoon character.
DICE FALL, EVERYONE ROCKS!

Avernus. Throw that thing into the Blood War and let it kill both sides indiscriminately.
Positive Material Plane. Regen won't matter because it's not being killed by damage. Enjoy death by overhealing buddy.

Can you planeshift it to Sigil? If so, would likely get mazed shortly after entry.

Forgotten Realms. I hate that place.

Ysgard! They'd love it there, and it couldn't kill anyone, since no one dies there who isn't resurrected the next day.
