A couple of sessions ago I recieved a Sword of Vengence, until now I haven't really known how it would change my character if at all.
I am level six, with five levels in fighter battlemaster, and after receiving a vision of Selune in a prayer for help, I just decided last session to multiclass into paladin, as I feel I owe her an enormous debt. I am rather dutiful and honorable in personality, having a background in City Watch, my alignment is Neutal Good.
How would you lot go about making the Sword of Vengence more impactful? Would it make me "turn to the dark side" or something like that?
I think it would make you more bloodthirsty, but not necessarily evil. Now if some kid hits you with a slingshot and that triggers the sword, it could be a problem, but I don’t know if it’s inherently bad to relentlessly hunt down an orc.
Yeah right. My fellow party members have asked why I don't get the curse lifted. It's really just because I see some roleplaying potential, the sword I refuse to part with, like Gollum and the one ring, which makes my paladin act out of character, causing a confliction between mercy and bloodlust.. In saying that I believe I just answered my own question.

Seems like the kind of thing that could be seen as anger management issues.
At level 5, it shouldn't be too hard to have the curse lifted if it does become a problem.

Thanks for your reply DxJxC and Xaithu 🙂
