So i stumbled across a bag of infinite sand and wanted to pick some brains on what i could do with it besides "gust-ing" it in someones face to blind em and good ideas?(draconic sorcerer)
Depending on how much sand pours from the bag at a time, you can use it to backfill pit traps and other gravity-based obstacles. Could potentially use the sand to soak up and reduce damage from dangerous liquids, though that's a DM dependent call.
Depending on how much time you've got and how big a dick you are, you could pack bags/sacks, backpacks, shoes, or entire rooms with sand. Could theoretically use it to quietly sink a ship by overloading it from inside, at the very least slowing it down and making it difficult to maneuver.
Could use it to mark trails through dungeons and such, though leaving a sand trail behind you is pretty rife for disruption. I'd probably favor chalk myself, but in a pinch the sand could at least be attempted.
Could add sand to any other big wind spell, maybe get the DM to give you some minor sandstorm bonuses.
Really, 'infinite sand' is one of the tamer things for a DM to give his players. We're not in Minecraft so you can't stack it up and stand on it, unfortunately. Can turn it into glass as EMRFish mentioned, or leave decorative sand castles wherever you go with Mold Earth. The latter being the clear and away best use of the item.
Neutral to good tbh but it would be Fun to screw with some People "why is there sand in my underwear "
You ever see those beach pictures where people have their bodies buried in sand and it is shaped so their head looks like it is on a mermaid body or body builder? 😉

Might be a way to build it into a trick hourglass, so that it runs normally in one direction but infinitely long in the other? Probably need a portable hole in the mix somewhere but... Something something magic something.
Does it basically use the rules of a Decanter of Endless Water, or is it just a bag where if you tip it over sand just keeps pouring out of it? Mostly I'm wondering how fast you can pour sand out of it. If it's relatively fast I think its most common useful ability will be to fill in pit traps. Plus you've always got some convenient Pocket Sand to throw in someone's face. If you need to weigh something down for any reason this will get it done for you. I'd say grab some common sacks to keep handy... think of sandbags used as counterweights. If nothing else if you're above enemies and you have time to prepare, you can set up a bunch of heavy sandbags to drop on their heads.

I'm going to make this way harder than it needs to be.
Throw it on invisible creatures?
Find someone with a decanter of endless water and open a beach-themed indoor recreation area.
