My 5th lvl Sorcerer is heading into a trip to the Elemental Plane of Fire and guess whose main attack spells are fire based :(
He has: Firebolt, Shocking Grasp, Light, Prestidigitation, and Minor Illusion as Cantrips. Absorb Elements, Shield for 1st. Alter Self, Invisibility 2nd. Fly and Fireball and 3rd.
Any thoughts other than just stay out of the way? I want to be helpful and twinning Fly and Invisibility might help, but this is definitely an adventure I'll be dragging the average down.
Get creative with Minor Illusion. Figure out how to use Shocking Grasp somewhat safely. And use Fly on your teammate who will benefit the most from being mobile. Remember, when you’re concentrating on a buff spell sometimes your best action is Dodging so you don’t lose your concentration.

Guessing its to late to take elemental adept?
Try to talk your way out of confrontations. Use that charisma.
