Yeah I love this. I love making fantasy as believable as possible. Just for a second make you think youre there. I like the idea of characters having values good or bad and hates and likes. I really like the raven queen but it seems really clique. So Ive always imagined him serving a small time living cult queen-anything to make him feel needed and like he is protecting something, anything he believes in.
This was really cool. Ive always been into writing and fantasy. Ive written a book or two. So I think dndn will be really fun.
So those were examples of how either patron could work for your character concept. Do you like one better?

Canto alla vita alla sua bellezza ad ogni sua ferita ogni sua carezza!
I sing to life and to its tragic beauty To pain and to strife, but all that dances through me The rise and the fall, I've lived through it all!
Oh haha I thought they were lore. Wow well written man. Yeah Im still trying to decide. In a way I want him to be an archer because to me that just pulls closer to medieval realism and what a common man would be doing. Especially one that couldnt afford heavy armor but i also want to kind of make him a soilder who just used a polearm but idk how viable that is in dnd.
The archfey one really inspired me. The guy could have just been a dude trying to put food on the table. His family is starving he goes into the woods and cant even pull his 30lb shortbow back.
I still think im leaning hexblade so i can just leave my allegiances to something else but I wanna go and look at archfey and see if theres any really convoluted morals up in there. I really dont like good guy bad guy.
Ive looked at a few dieties to be loyal to aside from the pact, because I dont think you have to worship your patron. Silvanus had a cool theme. Introducing a zealous hatred of fire and destruction would be fun and choosing nature over human life would be a really fun thing to play out.
xDrewcifer , I really wouldn't worry about single classing your Warlock. We are running Dungeon of the Mad Mage and every encounter we have had myself and the Wizard are dealing the most damage and killing the most enemies. Party is Goliath barbarian, Gnome Wizard, Half Elf Warlock (me), Bugbear Ranger and a Tortle Druid.
Lvl 5 Warlock of The Fiend, Pact of the Tome, Ambassador in the mortal realms to the Great and Powerful and Damned (literally) Sexy, Demon Lord Graz'zt he has 6 fingers on each hand so ladies be warned and be prepared!

What about the Horned God as an Archfey? God of the Wild Hunt.
