4) (I doubt this one is a yes but maybe for rp) Can I use Gust to blast someones clothes off XD? That could be a great way to humiliate the BBEG in the middle of a crazy evil ritual or embarrass someone during a bar fight that picked on my friend. This assumes that they aren't wearing a belt or something pfft.
I think this one has been covered by Xalthu, but I have to add that if the BBEG was wearing a kilt or something, I might allow a Seven Year Itch Marilyn Monroe subway grate moment. Even if you couldn't tell whether they were true Scotsmen, you'd at least interrupt an evil monologue or two.
Or give then a flatulent moment for everyone to see. Throw out a meta joke of, "Should we roll initiative after that?" Again, it'd be most useful as a distraction or monologue interruption, but...
Xalthu was responding to the previous post by Zyonchaos, in which is was posited that gust could be used as a reaction spell as an attack of opportunity. Xalthu was essentially saying that it's an action spell, not a reaction spell. (In the context of the post by Zyonchaos)
I need to type more clearly lol I meant use it as a reaction to save a fellow party member from an attack of opportunity. A defensive spell rather than an attack.
Depending on what your dm allows, consider keeping a sack of sand, ground pepper or ground glass. Retrieve a handful with your item interaction and then cast Gust to blow it into a targets face. No one enjoys any of these particulates in their eyes/lungs.
Gust could also be used to relocate spells that are dispersed by a strong wind, or to "waft" an odor (either for comedic "who dealt it" purposes or to throw off a scent based hunter).
It can also be used to assist social interactions (aka instant fluttering cape/hair) or to fill a similar role as some uses of Thaumaturgy or prestidigitation (slam a door or window)
