So backstory, I am a lvl 5 hexblade warlock i am the main damage dealer in our group. We are a bunch of newbies and this was our first major campaign. Our DM is a seasoned vet of many many years. Back story... On one of our first sessions, our Bard decided to test out the prestidigitation cantrip in the temple of TYR on a funeral candle of a dead bar matron. We may or may not have been responsible for her death, (we were). The Dm explains that this candle was guiding her soul to the afterlife and when it was blown out her soul was lost. TYR then smote the bard and our cleric was super pissed. Many adventures were had until the dragon that killed us all. So our DM decided to come up with a way for us to continue that made sense because none of us were ready to start a new campaign.
Our last Session...We awoke on the plane and in the home of the god TYR he explains his disappointment with the cleric and how we owe him a soul. He demands we find her reincarnated soul and return it to TYR. Then Tyr turns to me and wrenches the demon from my pact weapon and imprisons him. He gives me the option to let him out or leave him caged. He states the demon cannot exist on this existence and doing so would destroy him. My demon is super pissed is acting like a dick so I leave his ass imprisoned with Tyr. I am now a lvl 5 fighter with charisma heavy stats and am basically useless. We have to find the soul and we cannot die until we do so. Each time we die we are brought back to Tyr and he will strip a lvl and send us back.
I am not mad at all in fact this is such awesome storytelling from our DM I cant wait to see where this goes and how it plays out. However I am bitter that my warlock class is gone. I have been assured it's just temporary and its all part of the story. But id like to get my revenge upon this God of justice in some way the DM does not expect and will make for a great campaign.
So what can I try to do? I was thinking I could try to get hold of another BOH as I have one already and put them together while in the plane and presence of Tyr. That might bring him to a plain where his powers are lower and I can free my demon and get revenge kill him something. I dunno like I said I'm fairly new but a quick study and I'm turning to the experts to help me out.
You really can't get back at a god. That's why they're gods and you're not. Especially not a god that's taken a personal interest in you and is actively monitoring everything you do.
I would talk with the GM to see about getting your warlock another patron, since they've effectively ruined your character.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
He has assured me that its temporary and will all play out in the story he is telling. But ya my character is ruined until then.
Ya thats the problem is that he is a god and I don't see a way around it. There could be some way to out intellectual him maybe. Tyr is the god of justice so if I could somehow convince get him in a predicament of some sort of justice paradox I might be able to exploit that. I'm not smart enough though 😟 lol
Yes, I was the only one to suffer such harsh consequences from Tyr. The others where simply scolded and issued this quest. Now I was given some insight to my tragic backstory to help me get the revenge i seek to avenge my family. So he didn't just punish me. But his punishment was more so than the rest. Also, I am the only one with a more sinister background being a warlock and having a demon pact, and also was involved in a crime syndicate family. So that had a lot to do with his judgement and punishment of my character I suppose.
I was responsible for her death due to the fact that the assassins who killed her were after me and when they missed she was collateral damage. But not directly responsible I suppose. Our bard was directly responsible for her soul being lost due to his ill-timed cantrip experiment with her funeral candles.
So I like your idea of finding ways to align my character with those who are against Tyr. Although I agree it will be hard due to Tyr's personal investment to our group and that he will have a watchful eye on us and more likely me in particular. Also, I did not mention part of our mission is to find his champion a Paladin and she will be our liaison going forward. So it makes it even more difficult. But adds even more layers that I could possibly exploit or twist to gain revenge. Possible by influencing the paladin away from Tyr's path.
So again I want to say that as a person I am very happy how he is writing this story and I love the twist. He has assured me it's temporary and I will at some point be regaining my powers as a warlock. But I feel my PC would feel very disgruntled with Tyr and if the right opportunity presented itself to betray him if possible. This situation is what I'm looking to create or seek out. My demon I'm not attached too and I am willing to make a deal with another being in order to regain my powers. Perhaps this is my way to achieve my goal. What I don't know enough about is who or what to seek and how I could weave this into the story from a players standpoint.
Thank you this is so much fun just talking about and getting ideas.
Technically, you COULD change what happened before that by getting the deck of many things, pulling the fates card, and undoing ever blowing out the candle, but that would be highly improbable, and forgive me if I'm wrong, I do not believe that gods can influence the deck of many things, so it might work if you get extremely lucky.

To answer your questions first.

Is there possibly some magic item that could shield me from Tyr's view?
Only an artifact or another god could do that.
And Tyr would notice.
