I've recently started a new campaign and one of my players opted to play the Mystic class and we're both excited to see how it pans out as it seems like a really awesome class. Though there is one thing we can't seem to figure out, when the Mystic uses one of its Mystic talents, in this case it was Mind Thrust, does an attack roll still need to be made or does the target just make a DC saving throw? And if an attack roll was to be made, against what would it be? It certainly can't be the creatures/targets AC as it's a mind attack...
Could someone perhaps shed some light on this? I'd appreciate it greatly.
The mystic in my group is currently still level one and has the following attributes: Mystic talent - Mind Thrust. The disciplines were Psychic assault, psychic phantoms and psychic disruption.

Regards,
Mind Thrust needs only a Intelligence saving throw. Failing means taking 1d10 of damage, success means no damage. No attack roll is required.
