Our DM will let us use a lot of UA in our games, but he also reserves the right to tweak what he feels needs it. For instance, I love the Undying Light, but the Level 6 "jump up blind all half-health regained" feature is a little overpowered, so he added a save and diminished the health regained. In our current campaign I'm trying the Inquisitive rogue, and while I'm playing to type, he hates (HATES) that I can detect any and all deception--it's given him some problems BUT, he admits it's true to the character.
Most of the new feats he's banned outright, except for the Tiefling ones. He feels they're a little too overpowered. He loves all the new spells and Warlock Invocations, and is toying with Artificer to make it more accommodating to individual class fantasy. He has, however, banned any race or feat that gives straight-up flying. Too easy to misuse, he feels (using a spell or class feature, that's fine. Arrakoa or winged Tieflings, not so much...).
