My group recently kicked off a new campaign including a Twilight Cleric. While we really like the class mechanically and thematically, we immediately found the Channel Divinity: Twilight Sanctuary ability to be OP for Tier 1 play, and it looks as though it won't scale properly (at all) to stay relevant as the character progress. Offering all allies within 30' 1d8 of temp HP for a complete combat every round, with no concentration is either way too much (at low level) or too little at higher levels of play. Clearing Fear and Charm hasn't been an issue - it's potent, but thematic and not combat-breaking.
In an effort to fix that, we came up with the following solution, which seems to work - we tie it to Proficiency Bonus.
Levels 1-4 - 1d4 temp HP
Levels 5-8 - 1d6 temp HP
Levels 9-12 - 1d8 temp HP
Levels 13-16 - 1d10 temp HP
Levels 17-20 - 1d12 temp HP
I'd appreciate any feedback on this you'd care to offer.
Also, is this the best forum to provide feedback on UA to Wizards, or is there another place to do so?
Thanks in advance...
