Anyone know how to unlock martial disciplines (specifically weapon master) in the character generator without dropping half a month's pay on the source book bundle(s)? I don't know enough about 5E yet to fill out a character sheet manually yet, and the character generator is rather convenient.
Weapon master, like the feat? Not sure what you mean. in general though, you’ll probably need to but the PHB and whichever source book the subclass is in. Dndbeyond is made by a different company than makes the books, and they both need to get paid.
I'm not aware of a subclass called weapon master, but you may mean Battle Master?
That's in the Player's Handbook.
You can actually purchase just the Battle Master subclass for $1.99. Even better, if you later decide to purchase the full Player's Handbook on D&D Beyond, the price is discounted by the amount you already spent on content from it.

if u are referring to the homebrew class then, well it isn't allowed legally if i'm correct it also isn't on D&D beyond if u are referring to a feat or something else correct me but i could only rly find the class also if u want to buy individual, feats, subclasses etc then you can buy then individually not buy the sourcebook bundle so would you plz clarify what you mean about "weapon master" if it's a feat or something else and if it is a homebrew feat then you should be able to find one like it on here
I found it by googling a list of all Martial Disciplines. Weapon Master is most likely homebrew.
I guess I'll have to learn how to make a custom character sheet, then. Weapon Master was always a go to for me, so I figured I'd try it out here as well. As a long time 3.5E player, I'm having a pretty hard time coming up with a proper build in 5E, otherwise.
That seems overpowered to me. You get lots of bonuses, but the only trade off is you can’t use other weapons, not a big loss. Most fighters I’ve seen pick a weapon at level 1 and stick with it all through the campaign. Unlike past editions, there really aren’t many monster resistant to, say slashing damage so that you want to carry a bludgeoning weapon just in case. I guess there would be times when a melee fighter might wish they had a bow, and vice versa, but I wonder how often that would come up. And if it was really an issue either a magic initiate feat or 1level dip in a casting class will give you a cantrip that can cover you.
Are you just trying to super-specialize in one weapon? Because you’re right, I don’t think anything really does that.

I see what you mean. There's a Weapon Master class, martial archetype and feat. None of them appear to be "official".
I was speaking of this Martial Archetype: https://www.5esrd.com/classes/fighter/fighter-martial-archetypes/weapon-master-3pp/

Actually, a kensai monk might work. They specialize in one weapon, and get some interesting bonuses to it to compliment their monk abilities.
