I've been experimenting with using D&D Beyond, but I have a few questions I was hoping to get some guidance with. Right now I haven't purchased anything, but I was able to make a campaign and have 3 players join and make characters. Am I right in assuming that they'll be able to make SRD characters, and level up and enjoy all the content in the SRD without additional cost?
I've been considering (re)buying the sourcebooks on D&D Beyond, and also scooping up the artificer class so one of my player's can make an artificer PC. This is where things get a little confusing to me. If I buy the Artificer class (or rather, the subclasses associated with the Artificer), can a player in my campaign make an artificer PC, or I will have to get the master tier to share that with my players? What if I create an artificer character sheet -- could I share / assign that sheet to a player without the Master Tier? Could I also just sspeed testhare my account with my player if I'm comfortable with that, and have him level it up / manage it on his end? showbox

Answering in order: SRD content is totally free.
The proper way to do it is that SOMEONE buys a master tier subscription in your group, and it doesn't have to be you. That person creates the campaign and enables content sharing, and then anyone in the group that has content, it would get shared with everyone else in that campaign.
You could do the "This character is in the campaign, the player unclaims it, I who have the content level it claim it, level it up, unclaim it and then have them reclaim it." thing. It's not ideal, but it does work. Thing is, if that person changes a class feature during a session, you have to stop and do it all over again to fix it.
So the big thing, account sharing is a bannable offense for this sites terms of service. If its discovered that you're doing that, you risk being banned and all the content you've bought being voided out.

You're correct on all accounts, Spidey, just wanted to point out anyone in the campaign who has a Master tier subscription can enable content sharing - it doesn't have to be the person who created the campaign.
