So, from what I can tell, the various settings correlate to different genres. Is that right? I'm wondering what each ones are. I've only played Sword Coast so far, but from what I've heard, I've gathered the following:
Sword Coast - your typical high fantasy/LotR style setting.
Ravenloft - Gothic horror, a vampires and werewolves type of thing.
Eberron - Steampunk but with magic rather than steam?
There's a couple that I don't really know at all, what are they? Ravnica and Wildemount. Are there any others in 5e? Also, how are they related to each other? As in, are they different continents on a planet? Parellel universe? Or just completely different works?

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Wildemount: High Fantasy with some grit, like the Sword Coast but better.
Strixhaven: Magic School (think Harry Potter)
Domains of Delight / Wilds Beyond the Witchlight: A nice, whimsical birthday version of Ravenloft
Greyhawk / Ghosts of Saltmarsh: A gritty, fantasy setting (imagine Middle Earth mixed with the grit of Kamino from Star Wars)
Most settings are "Material Planes", echoes of a long-lost First World from ages past that have evolved their own histories and events. More discussion of this can be found in the Basic Rules, Player's Handbook, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse, Wilds Beyond the Witchlight, Domains of Delight, and every setting book.
Ravenloft is actually horror in general, not gothic horror. Barovia (which is part of Ravenloft) is gothic horror.

This isn't actually a signature, just something I copy and paste onto the bottom of all my posts. Or is it? Yep, it is. Or is it..? I’m a hobbit, and the master cranial imploder of the "Oops, I Accidently Destroyed Someone's Brain" cult. Extended sig. I'm actually in Limbo, it says I'm in Mechanus because that's where I get my WiFi from. Please don't tell the modrons, they're still angry from the 'Spawning Stone' fiasco. No connection to Dragonslayer8 other than knowing them in real life.

I find this dreadfully stupid, because at least in 5e lore, Castle Ravenloft is named after Count Strahd's mother Ravenia, and Barovia is named after his father Barov. Going by in-universe logic, you would obviously say they are both specifically Strahd's domain, and that's the end of it, but for branding purposes apparently Ravenloft is all the spooky places that exist, whether Strahd is involved or not, and there's *also* a Castle Ravenloft inside Ravenloft.
If I'm remembering my Curse of Strahd book correctly, the land Strahd conquered was sequestered by magic, such that the surrounding lands have no connection to his domain anymore. So it wouldn't even be right to say Barovia is *in* Ravenloft, except in the way that Beverly Hills is *in* the Milky Way Galaxy.

Do you own Van Richten's? Because it explains this better than I could. Anyway, the place itself is actually called The Demiplane of Dread, and Barovia is a Domain of Dread. It's just called Ravenloft, just like Faerun is called The Forgotten Realms.

All the settings are completely different works (while the forgotten realms has a tendency of eating other settings for breakfast)
My homebrew content: Monsters, subclasses, Magic items, Feats, spells, races, backgrounds
Ravnica: A world-city with technomagic.
Wildemount: High Fantasy with some grit, like the Sword Coast but better.

Frequent Eladrin || They/Them, but accept all pronouns
Luz Noceda would like to remind you that you're worth loving!
Also in Fizban's, but Fizban's is annoying, so avoid Fizban's.
