Anyone know if these is a Dev Update today: January 13, 2022?
It was on their twitch timeline with less than a hour to go, and they cancelled it with 30 minutes notice. Which honestly, is the status quo for them when cancelling their dev updates.
It's honestly going to be the reason I do not renew my master tier subscription.
Because they wont address the M3 situation. Cowards!
My guess is they won't because they still don't know what Wizards wants or how they're going to put it in place.
Then communicate that. That's it. "Hey, we've tried getting in touch with our partners over at Wizards. They're very busy with the leadup to this book, Call of the Netherdeep and some of the new products in 2022. We haven't gotten a definitive answer on it as of yet but we'll keep doing these updates weekly to let you guys know as soon as we know."
With the book due out soon, they have to be working on it. Dev Updates is definitely not what it once was when I originally bought into it. Now is mostly showing a short timeline, then wasting time with interviews instead of answering honest questions. When they do answer questions, they only pick ones related to the topic of the day, and skip over anything else.
Personally, I think WotC has already bought out D&D Beyond, and has been keeping it a secret because of their failure with their own Character Creator back in 4e.

Watch your back, conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon!
It's entirely possible that they're gagged by WotC. Franchise controls are...ridiculous.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
I would love a writtenmission statement from DDB that lays out what they intend to actually do and release this year, but communication is an afterthought for this site. I don't feel like renewing my subscription either -- especially if the development pace continues to be so agonizingly slow. Why pay to get strung along for another year for features that never materialize? It seems like lots of nice people work here, but my trust in this site is pretty low at this point...
