So I was considering buying my first book from this website and I saw that there were basic rules and then I saw the PHB. I was wondering what would I get out of the PHB that I don't already have.
The PHB has more archetypes for the classes, whereas the Basic Rules has only one archetype per class. Moreover, the Basic Rules has only one feat, few backgrounds and some spells fewer.
Basic Rules is the rule book that comes with the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Kit. It is a "Player's Handbook Lite". It is a subset of the Player's Handbook.
