So, is it all books or just a subsection of them? Do we know what the degree of discounts will be?
I found the message a bit uninformative. They asked to have all the items put in the basket ready, but didn't clarify exactly what would be discounted, by how much, etc.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
Any chance you can provide the details from the email? I'd like to hope that it'll show up eventually, but I'm impatient and don't trust my spam filter.
Yeah, the email just gives a start time, not clear on the duration, depth of discount etc.
I believe the last sale was the first sale to not include pre-orders. It seemed that would be "the way" going forward, but workings of a sale are entirely up to DDB. I can see a lot of logic from a biz stand point in making pre-orders ineligible for sale discounts.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
"Orcs are savage raiders and pillagers with stooped postures, low foreheads, and piggish faces with prominent lower canines that resemble tusks." MM p245 (original printing) You don't OWN your books on DDB: WotC can change them any time. What do you think will happen when OneD&D comes out?

Nice. I pre-ordered both books and bought the new dice too.
Edit: Just noticed Spelljammer after posting this! Wooo!!! Pre-ordered that as well.
I saw Spelljammer very very cool :) I am on the fence on getting it as I do not know if I would be running or be in a Spelljammer campaign anytime soon, I think I will get DragonLance once it is released instead.

where is the link to this? I haven't seen it pop up.
I'd like to see this too.
I've been waiting for the spring sale to buy a handful of books and will be jumping on that as soon as I can!
I got an email from DnD Beyond about the sale.
I it would be nice if they included pre-ordered books but probably won't.

last email i got was the usual "DNDBeyong is on Twitch"
i usually just delete those, don't recall seeing one today about an impending sale.
alas unless they allow preorders I don't have anything to purchase but thought i would check when it officially shows as started.
I'm looking to backfill my library, so pre-orders aren't of concern to me.
But I REALLY don't want to pay $300-$400 for a couple of handfuls of older sourcebooks and adventures.
Hello Jothom,

From the email, it indicates that the sale will start in 10 hours as of this posting. So maybe around 9pm PDT.

20% all books, including preorders, and dice.
I haven't seen an indication of duration, though.

Per the announcement email:
Spring Sale ends May 1, 2022 at 11:59 PM PT
Anyway, glad preorders are included!
It is very good they have preorders on sale as well, I just wish I had waited to preorder Monsters of the Multiverse
It wasn't on the original email, to be fair.
