In the 3E Forgotten Realms you did have the Fey'ri which are Tieflings from Elven stock so there is some historical lore to support it if you wanted to use it, I think Tannarukks are technically Orcs with some Demonic blood so theres another one.

It's widespread 5E tradition to use the tiefling and aasimar blocks for the half-cambion and partially angelic offspring of humanoids regardless of parentage - e.g. half cambion, half orc would just get you the tiefling rules. Bear in mind not all humanoids are physically capable of reproducing with a cambion, e.g. a warforged.

Okay so, hear me out.
Tieflings are essentially a mesh of humanoid and outsider genes, at least from what I've read- feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
But are the weretouched not simply humans/humanoids who've genetically adapted to the inclusion of anthropomorphism in their bloodlines, correct?
So, being humanoids from the prime material, would they not fall under the umbrella of races that could produce a tiefling?
Any type of humanoid can potentially produce tieflings.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
Whilst the theory would allow tieflings from any humanoid race, the PHB does state that they are derived from human bloodlines.
If you were wanting to play a variant on this, fair enough, but I'd suggest talking it through with your DM to avoid potentially overpowered builds.
