I may be missing a communication, but is DNDBeyond now charging their subscriptions through Fandom?
I ask because I saw it pop up on my card statement for this month and didn’t recognize it. Seems like the kind of thing that a courtesy email/announcement might be warranted to prevent payment disputes from people who don’t recognize the charge.
Am I the only one?

There were announcements and emails about the fandom acquisition a while back before, during and after it happened. You even had to log into your account to confirm you wanted to change your data handler if you were in the EU
Well, now you tell me..I just cancelled my credit card and reported the transaction....
This switch happened years ago, the thread is two and a half years old...?

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
@pizzathemom45 has a valid point though, googling fandom brought me here after seeing a fandom charge - it's been showing up as "d&dbeyond" up till this point for me

I posted this in another thread for the same/similar topic:
I downloaded my transaction history, converted it into a document file, and did a search for "fandom" and "d&d beyond" and here is what I found:
Subscription payments are to d&d beyond, content purchases are to fandom.
You're welcome.
Book purchases have been charged to fandom ever since they bought DDB as they own the licence with WotC. I'm not sure if subscriptions getting charged from d&d beyond is an error, in reference to the service, or if the payment actually goes directly to DDB.
Either way, it is VERY old news (>3 years) that was publicized as well as possible (dev updates, emails, banners at the top of the site, pinned news threads, being plastered to the bottom of every single page, etc). If you have ever bought a book on DDB in that time, it said fandom.
We haven't been using D&D Beyond very long. From what I'm reading here, Fandom already owned it when we started using it. My husband's account has the yearly subscription (he's our DM) and last year it came up as d&d beyond, today it came up as Fandom. Like others here, I didn't recognize it. But I keep a list of all our recurring payments and when they're due, and the amount matched D&D Beyond, which I was expecting to come out today. I just came here to double check.
I can see how others might be concerned about it suddenly showing up differently, especially if they don't keep track like I do. Easy to forget when a yearly subscription is due, and seeing a name you don't recognize on a credit card bill is always scary.
I'd like to update this topic for anyone researching the different vendor charges originating from D&D Beyond. This is still a relevant issue that won't be obvious to new customers.
I use a virtual credit card service for all online purchases (privacy.com, highly recommended), one of the feature of which is the ability to lock a card to a single vendor. Once I create a new card, I nickname it whatever I want, but the first transaction that goes through locks the card to that vendor, and will decline transactions from any other vendor. This is permanent. I can also set daily/monthly/annual spending limits, or single-transaction only, or other nice security features.
My initial DDB transaction was the DM subscription, which is currently (August 2022) billing directly to Wizards of the Coast. However, the sourcebooks are still billing through Fandom, so my card was declined. I've now had to create two DDB cards, one for WotC and one for Fandom, and it is a little annoying that I'll have to distinguish the two depending on the type of purchase I'm making. I am going to assume all Marketplace transactions are going through Fandom.

As Davedamon mentioned, there was an accompanied email campaign and website popup to also inform. You may be one of the few, in this case.
I dont even live in EU and I got those emails.
