I am. The Dragonlance world has probably had some of my best games ever. The races have a lot of interesting things going on the history has a lot of depth to it.
Gonna wait and see. The starter feats and feat progressions were first floated in theIr UA, kind of curious how those worked out, but have been using iterations of them for homebrew for a few months so not really a needed purchase. Because Spelljammer was such a thin work, I"m just going to see how folks respond to it. A little curious about the board game associated with it and how they may work together, but it's not the only "game in town" so to speak for addressing characters within a mass combat.
I guess I have 5e fatigue. Spelljammer was such a let down and there are so many other good products out there for 5e through other publishers and good works from other systems. I've got more than enough for my 5e game, and for D&D I got a good enough system with 5e, so we'll see how Dragonlance goes and how things go for this "next iteration" thing.

Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
I am also going to wait and see. I was really excited by the Spelljammer release and just pre-ordered it. Not a total waste but will be more circumspect with regards to Dragonlance. If there are Kender as Kender then it will be a flat no.

Yeah, that perfectly captures how you're feeling. I've got major, major problems with a lot of the core assumptions of original Dragonlance (the "good" gods committing genocide, "good" and "evil" needing to be balanced, all of the small races, etc), but I like seafaring minotaurs, death knights, and dragon-riding knights . . . so I'm undecided whether I'm getting this book yet. I'll wait to see until it comes out if it changes the setting enough to my liking and if it is a better product than the Spelljammer set. If they keep the problematic stuff from the original setting and have it be the same quality as Spelljammer/Strixhaven, I'll probably save my money and not buy it.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Kender and Gully Dwarves are awesome. I loved the setting from the novels, and loved playing it when it was first released. I’m just concerned that with the current idiotic direction WoTC are going they will butcher it. As for the gods of good committing genocide…. Only have to look at our real world myth of Noah for examples of that, so the Cataclysm on Krynn is no biggie.
I’ll wait and see. I don’t use dragonlance as a setting, so given the recent weak offerings I’ll wait until it’s out and been examined and reported on before deciding if I’m buying.
Who is excited for the Dragonlance book that is coming out?

I am crossing my fingers but based upon recent history I am not overly hopeful.

Yes! I’m really looking forward to it. Dragonlance is a cool setting.
I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

Wisea$$ DM and Player since 1979.
Not me.
I've never read a single Dragonlance book, and the only Kenders I've played in a party with have been exceedingly chaotic.
This.
