Hi, I am a lore nerd and as both part of personal curiosity and DM scenarios, I'm curious on good resources for the more obscure lore out there.
By this I mean things such as The Far Realm, the true nature of Asmodeus (if you know, you know), etc. I have seen some very interesting stuff in some novels and other media, but I was curious if anyone had a similar interest and where you learn more about these sorts of things?
For anything Forgotten Realms, the Forgotten Realms Wiki is a really good option. It has an obsessively collected database full of information from throughout the game’s history, with plenty of citations and hyperlinks to related articles. If the information has been set forth somewhere officially, be if a sourcebook, game, or other work of fiction, that Wiki certainly has it documented.
If you are looking for Greyhawk versions of the lore, they have a wiki as well, but it is a whole lot less well-maintained. It still is a decent place to start, but you may have to use it as a springboard to finding other sources.
If you don't mind paying, a great many of the old books from prior editions are available as PDFs on DMsGuild. FR Wiki as mentioned is a solid starting point, and then once you find a bit of info you want to learn more about, you can head to DMsG to purchase the books they're citing and read for yourself.
There are also numerous YouTubers out there who dive into legacy D&D lore using their old books, dragon magazine articles, and the like. Two I'm a fan of for general lore/D&D histoty include DM It All and Daddy Rolled a 1, but you might have to do some digging for setting-specific stuff.
One thing to watch out for is that the game's lore is not consistent between editions and all too frequently not even consistent within editions. And also there are things that are intentionally not actually ever revealed, like the true nature of Asmodeus or the Lady of Pain.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
There are a couple of Youtube content creators who do deep dives on this subject.
Jorphdan, MrRhexx, AJ Pickett
While they use a lot of 2nd and 3rd lore, and sometimes even 4th, they are fun ways to do deep dives and make a jumping off point at times.
Also for Forgotten Realms specific lore, the guy who created it originally Ed Greenwood has a channel. He has a lot of fun old guy stories about D&D lore, and where he got the idea for some things.
