I have a question why does the feats selection not follow the RAW regarding selecting feats? Why does RAW say that I cannot take Magic Initiate for each caster class, but character creation I can with each ASI/Feat option that I get?
Because early on in DDB's development they couldn't program that sort of choice into a single feat. The only way to make the feat, and many like it, work was to break it out into a number of feats that narrow down the choice made and bring the scope of the feat within their spaghetti coding. They've made a few strides since in correcting this, but it's also simply easier in every real way for them to say "Pick the one you pick and stick to the honor system" than to try and program one basic feat to encompass the entirety of the game's spellcasting rules, but only a little bit with any given choice.
That and DMs often don't stick to RAW, so some may allow it to be used in non-RAW ways...and that's a pretty easy way to allow for DM discretion in those situations.
