So, I've been looking into it for a bit now as Im building an Abberant Mind for an upcoming campaign, and haven stumbled across anything... but is there really no way to swap out the expanded spelllist spells like the feature says you should be able to?https://routerlogin.uno/https://192168ll.link/
Feels very weird to not have that option, especially when your classes whole shtick is that they can do extra things with said spelllist...
Hey, currently running abberant mind myself. From what I can tell, the only workarounds are to either
A. Duplicate the sub-class in homebrew and swap out the spells in that variant subclass, then swap classes to that one, but you'd have to do that every other level.
B. You could instead add in supplimentary homebrew feats. The best is the "Abberant Mind Sorcerer Replacement List" one, imo. It still has some flaws, you have to use the written list to see the level limitations as the drop down lists include all alternate spells regardless of level and it doesn't get rid of the replaced spells so it requires a bit of good faith.
If you want to be totally thorough about it, you could combine A and B, and just make a duplicate Mind class, but remove all stock psionic sorceries from the class feature itself and then snag the replacement feat to fill in the gap without leaving you any leftover spells.
Before doing that though, you should start with telling your DM. I brought it up to mine and he said he was already aware of the problem and that just using the replacement feat was an approved fix for him.
Edit: the search on homebrew is a bit wonky but if you search "mind" in the description column, it'll show up on the first page.
Edit 2: The "retrain" feats I initially recommended look prettier but are actually useless, corrected to the other one because even if it's a bit clunky, it works.
