While working on a new Artificer/Armorer, I see that he has two options for his Thunder Gauntlet attack. One is at -1 due to his 8 Str. The other is at +6 but I can't determine why. According to the Artificer data, only Battle Smiths get to substitute their Int for their attack and damage (the character has 18 Int at level 4 so this math would work out).
Either the Armorer is incorrectly using the Int for the to-hit and damage for Thunder Gauntlets, or the Battle Smith isn't the only Artificer that gets to use their Int in this way.
The Battle Smith isn't the only Artificer that gets to use their Int in this way.
From Armorer Artificer's Armor Model feature:
Each model includes a special weapon. When you attack with that weapon, you can add your Intelligence modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, to the attack and damage rolls.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

Clarification please? What am I missing here?

Thanks. I missed that one.
