Hello! I appreciate all help in advance. I am doing a level up, from level 1 to level 2, on the D&D beyond platform. The only thing I did was modify level 1 to level 2 and then I saved the changes. Amazingly, the PG (HP) increase was done automatically (I have it configured for fixed PG increase, not with a dice roll). But now I don't know what other things in the leveling process this platform does automatically and what other things it doesn't. For example, my spell list remains the same as before. Can you help me with this question? How do you recommend I level up on this platform?
On the Class tab in the character builder any new features that require you to make a choice will show up outlined in blue with an exclamation point. If you are a spell caster you can click on the Spells category and then click Add Spells and you will see if there are any new spells you can learn. (Like it might have 2/3 known etc). If you are a Wizard you get to choose two spells to put in your spellbook.
I am playing a cleric, subclass healer (path of Life). I only want to find out what is done automaticaly and what shall I do manually. D&D Beyond character builder is really quick and automated if I set it up for beginners, so that's why it is so relevant for me to learn how to use it.
The builder is pretty good at automatically updating what it can. As mentioned if there are class features that you need to make a choice it will let you know. Like ASI/Feat choice at level 4. If a class feature needs you to make a choice in the PHB (like Hunter Ranger subclass features) then you will need to do it manually. If it’s a static feature (like Fighter’s Second Wind) the builder adds it automatically.
Spells are always something you will need to do manually.
I can’t think of much else that you will need to manually do. Just be aware that the character builder still has some issues that it cannot handle and you might have to use a workaround for it (like swapping Aberrant Mind Sorcerer’s Psionic Spells)

What class are you playing? And subclass if you have gotten one.

I have revised all the answers. Now I learned how to use it. Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. Now I can review more knowingly and relax.
