Hey, how do I make sidekicks from TCoE? I can't seem to find the option to do that, but I want to give my players a sidekick in the campaign I'm going to be running.
That's... Really obnoxious. TCoE came out how long ago? :V
Thanks.
Eh, Sidekicks are a fringe concept that I expect are only rarely used. Plus it'd be kind of clunky since they're open-ended rather than having set stats like monsters, are DM-facing rather than player-facing like classes, and unlike the homebrew options the rules for these are in a secondary book as opposed to having examples in the Basic Rules.
Sidekicks are under Extras > Manage Extras > Add an Extra > between Infusion and Wildshape. Clicking that should show a list of available sidekicks in the flyout.
It's possible that you have to own Dragon of Icespire Peak for those - all mine are labelled as being from that source.

They 100% should add a feature, like the "character creator", for Tasha's Sidekicks. This would be amazing for me as a DM, being able to quickly make temporary companions for the party and allowing them to level up away from the party in case they meet up again.
Specifically I have a group of antagonistic "Adventurers" who serve as a foil to the party, but having them be full PC's is a nightmare and trying to find a new Monster stat block each time that closely matches their older abilities is clunky and not satisfying. I would love to have a more automated feature on DDB for that.

There's no specific feature for it that I'm aware of; you'd basically need to homebrew an NPC/monster block for it.

Fair, I suppose, but I feel like since I paid for the content in the book it should be available.
Sidekicks can be added in the extras section, same as familiars
I don't have the option to select any, is the problem.
I own Tasha's, so I'm unsure why I can't seem to select them?
Tasha's sidekicks are not in the Extras tab
