So I have 2 D&D Beyond accounts on separate emails. I made my first account on using my school laptop and my school email, but I don’t want to risk using that email on personal devices (I don’t want to risk school browser extensions being put on my personal devices), so I made a second account one with my personal email for convenience. The thing is, most of my homebrew stuff is on the school email account, because I use my school computer when playing with friends. That email is going to get deleted when I finish high school, so I want to move my first account to my personal email to avoid losing all of my homebrew monsters. Am I allowed to have both accounts on one email? Are there any problems when trying to log into one account or the other? Will it even let me transfer an account to an email that already is linked to another account?
For the record, I don’t have a D&D Beyond subscription on either account. I just use this site because it’s convenient for making homebrew monsters. Got it? Got it.
So the way it works, you can have your account connected to multiple different external accounts, but (I believe) only one of each.
I'm assuming your school email is through google.
If you go to your account settings (top right menu on the web site), the first tab gives you the ability to link your account to another external account.
Decide which one you want to use. Wizards of the Coast should work for you regardless of what devices you have access to.
Make a WotC account. Use your account page to link it to the account that's got your stuff in it. Do not try to log in to DDB with the WotC account first -- that will create a new DDB account.
Make sure it works. Go to an incognito tab, or another browser, another device, whatever. Log in, and when it asks you what you want to use, use the WotC account.
You should, at this point, be logged in to your "stuff" account.
Now, when your school email goes away, you can still get into your stuff account. You can even unlink the school email from the account, and still log in by the WotC account. At which point, you could link it to a school-independent google account. (To unlink the school email, you may need to do it before it goes away.)
