I am unable to create a character with the Kenku race.
How do I resolve this? And specifically, how do I resolve this so that I can share out the ability to create this (and other custom races) to the accounts of my sons who I am DM'ing for?
Is D&D Beyond not ready for actual use? - Do I just need to stick to good old paper & pencil?
You'd need Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse. If you buy that, Kenku (among 32 other races) will be added to your character builder.
Alternatively, you can homebrew the race in, if you know the stats.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.
As for the sharing, if you are in a campaign, you can turn on sharing for it, and everyone has access to everyone else's books for character building within that campaign.
Standard Kenku as included in the physical 5e Player Handbook which is why this is frustrating. - Its not consistent.
I'd seen some (much) earlier posts about this with references to Volo's. - Attempting to locate Volo's in the Marketplace resulted in a 404. - Again, consistency...
If you happen to know if/where the Mapach race might be located, that would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'll have to do as you suggest and homebrew it.
Coming from running as a player in 1st gen back in the early/mid 80s immediately up to DM'ing 5e content has been a bit daunting. Well, for me it has been anyway. I've only been diving into it casually but its taken several months to finally start warming up and getting comfortable with it. Little nervous about changes with these new books coming out as well.

Yes, enttitlements were sync'd.
Thank you for your efforts though.
Kenku isn’t in the physical Players Handbook (neither 2014 nor 2024). Volo’s Guide to Monsters (and Mordenkainen’s Tome of Foes) was replaced by Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse, which is why you can’t find it.
Found Mapach in Humblewood and have added. - I'm good for the moment, thanks all.
And looks like I'm getting the hang of Beyond just in time for several things to get turned on their heads (2014 spells, etc) with the 2024 update... Awesome!

They did walk back the replacment of 5.0 spells with 5.5 ones. So shouod just need to enable to legacy button on that first page of the character builder.
Yeah, as VitusW mentions, there's a ton of posts from the weekend about plans to remove 2014 spells (and breaking other 2014 features by doing so), but that has now been reversed. Everything 2014 should remain available, just enabled/disabled with a toggle switch in the settings.
Correct. It appears in the 2014 Monster Manual. It also appears in the Beyond mobile app with no additional license purchases. My kids (players) also hit me sideways with Mapach, I've no idea where they located that.
Regardless, I'm good now, thanks.

Which kenku are you trying to use? You may need to enable the legacy toggle.
Also did you purchase Volo's / Monsters of Multiverse?
Finally, are your entitlements in sync? You can check here.
