Is there any way to do, say, a separate inventory or a dropdown inventory from the item description of the Bag of Holding for things that are in it? Or something you can toggle to indicate that that's where an item is? Thank you in advance for any answers!
No way as of now. I've seen it come up in the forums every now and then that it's being worked on though.
My group uses a shared document so they all can see it. Alternatively, an unassigned character can be created in the campaign and used as the bag of holding. But... in order for that to work, your GM will need to manage the unassigned character's inventory.
I have just been zeroing out the weight and putting BoH for bag of holding in the notes line. I have not been actively tracking the weight of what is inside because i am not even close to 500lbs yet.
I put things from my bag of holding in the 'other' category, and if I take them out then put them in my regular inventory so I can see the details [if I need to]
