We have a very creative group, with multiple people who can DM. One of the players, let's call him Fish, wrote a town and module to DM for us within the larger world.
We were all having so much fun with it that we decided to prolong his last session. The session took us to the beach and then underwater, finding our sahuagin attackers and the hostages they took.
When we got to the beach the group decided to roll for 15 minutes to check for traps. (This was pre planned)
We checked for fishing nets in the water, stone fish, hot sand, sting rays, dangerous goo, even sharp sea shells, well, especially sharp sea shells. My triton swam at the feet of the human making sure that every step was safe.
The DM and his wife (the human) were hilariously perplexed by this. But at least we didn't step on any sharp sea shells.
