so I am looking for some help to create the swashbuckler subclass for rogues to be used as a subclass for bards. That is the only change to do for my campaign on that aspect.
a separate item is creating an item that grants a bonus first level spell cast. I cannot figure out how to accomplish this in the item creation for a helmet.
So create a bard subclass and adapt the swashbuckler's features over one at a time. I say adapt, because the bard doesn't have some of the same base features that swashbuckler features refer to (like sneak attack), should have a feature that uses it's inspiration.
For the item just give the item a charge. Then the player can remove the charge when they cast their first level spell (I assume you want it to work like a spell slot based on description).
That item seemed easier to do then I was trying that way. Thank you. Approved for publishing. I would add only followers of Bahamut can use but that is just in the description.
On a new issue now. Boots that act like freedom of movement. So no haste spells or increases in speed. A character can run and walk normally through any Terrain. And always in effect.

That kind of effect is just words, no modifiers.
