2 questions I'm curious about. 1: I'm playing a bladesinger, I believe there are story books that go deep into bladesinging, does anyone know the names of these books?
2: My character has a int of 20!!! In our game (as i believe in most) this means as smart as they come. No I myself am not stuppid, but i am no where near a int of 20 :) What could a character with a int 20 think of? I'm trying to give my character goals, that match such a extreem int. Would love to hear your thoughts.
Technically intelligence in DnD only represents things such as recall, reason & education - it doesn't necessarily mean someone is a deep thinker, quick witted or the like (any more than someone being a literal rocket scientist means they'd necessarily do well on a quiz show or react well in a crisis).
However, if I'm correct in assuming that your bladesinger is an elf then possibly the most apparent motivator for an INT 20 character would simply be boredom i.e. they've mastered their craft, read all the books in their libraries and are craving something new - elf life-spans are vast, and a prodigy could easily absorb everything readily available with centuries more life still stretching before them.
Probably new spells to enhance their fighting. It's basically every wizard's goal to create more spells, and a bladesinger is still a wizard, just they use a sword and are melee-focused.

If I remember correctly Elaine Cunningham’s Swords and Songs series has some bladesinging lore.
