Is it possible to do this? I'm using the standard format ([monster ] name [/ monster]) but the link isn't coming through.
I figure it's possible that tooltips only work for standardized content (which would completely make sense) but I thought I'd check if I was missing something.
yes, that's correct - tooltips only function for official content (currently).
This is due to there being no guarantee of a unique name for homebrew content and we shouldn't prevent anyone from naming their personal homebrew something specific, because someone else used the name already.
It's possible that the dev teams will implement a way around this in the future, but for now it's not possible, sorry!
If I can make a suggestion on how to handle homebrew tooltips. How about something like [hmonster=######]Name[/hmonster] where the #s are that homebrew's unique id number (like you see in the URLs of hombrew).
Thank you for the suggestion. Perhaps a better way of me phrasing things is, "There are many ways that this could be introduced, as we have some very talented developers, but we need to consider usability, supportability and system load, as well as development prioritisation."
