I have some NPC's that I am going to introduce to my players through gossip, stories and references to their names.
I want to make sure that the names the NPC's tell the players something about the NPC's, without giving everything away, as soon as they hear their names.
If you heard of these NPC's what would you assume about them just from their name?
Martha Greenbottle
Iona Hohlt
Clarissa Appleton
Sigurd Brahm-Jones
They are looking forward to hearing what you think about my NPC's based upon their because that will give an idea of what mental images my players conjure up about these NPC's before they meet them.
Cheers

Martha Greenbottle - Some sort of apothecary.
Iona Hohlt - Town guard or other civil enforcer.
Clarissa Appleton - Local farmer/merchant.
Sigurd Brahm-Jones - Unsure, gut call is maybe another guard or local ruffian, maybe an entertainer.
