FOR THE POLL: Since 5E is already the whole website, please choose a table top RPG that is not 5E. these are games in addition to 5E, not instead of.
So, while I like dndbeyond ever so much, I was wondering if it could be expanded upon.
I don't immediately mean capability and content. I mean more of like a base for other games.
at present, dndbeyond is only DND 5E, but what about having subsections for choosing which game you wanted to play? 2nd edition? Pathfinder? 3.5? Cthulhu mythos?
I feel like this may be the next logical step in securing subscriptions and monetary income. Mostly because DND editions come and go, and right now 5E is the new hotness, but as wizards history will show, it is getting close to their next edition.
1974 - DND 1st
1987 - ADND
2000 - 3rd
2003 3.5
2004 - 4th
2012 - 5th
whether we as players are ready or not for a new edition to be ushered in, that is the question I have, what will DND beyond be doing to retain its relevancy?
DDB will never expand beyond 5e. Their entire business is being The Official 5e Tool, and they can't keep up with all the shit Wizards does for 5e, let alone implementing another game. Which is sad, because other games are alternatively a refreshing change of pace and/or so much better than 5e, but this is the only game with the cool digital tool that isn't kludging something together on Roll20 and Myth Weavers.
That said, if anyone else ever pie-in-the-sky'd a DDB equivalent for another system? Either GURPS or Savage Worlds. Man, a DDB-for-GURPS would be pretty much the best thing in Creation, but nobody's going to monetize that. Sadness....

For anyone who's unaware, a bit more context for Stormknight's previous comment: Fandom acquired the Cortex RPG system, so the upcoming updated version of the system, known as Cortex Prime, will have a digital toolset built by a separate team as part of Fandom.
