why are subclasses shown on a spells class list when the class already has the spell
Because some subclasses get those spells through their subclass features. Let's take my druid as example. He is from the Circle of the Land - Coast.
His subclass grants him these spells, which always are on his prepared spells list, without counting against the spells he can prepare
3rd
mirror image, misty step
5th
water breathing, water walk
7th
control water, freedom of movement
9th
conjure elemental, scrying
ah, that makes sense. Thank you.
