Hey! I'm newer to DDB, but when I found that those fun little elements of character sheet flair existed, I became extremely interested in acquiring them. Unfortunately, I can't find a great deal of documentation about them.
My understanding has been that they're currently only obtainable by pre-ordering books. Since--as I said--I'm new, I've missed out on a lot of that. But Mythic Odysseys of Theros is available for pre-order at the moment, so I'm thinking that might be what I want to buy if I'm interested in those things (since--despite some mentions over a year ago about devs looking into selling those aesthetic things separately--there's still no other way to get them). But naturally, before dropping $30, I want to be sure I'd actually get what I'm looking for.
Is there any indication anywhere that MOoT comes with portrait frames? Sheet backgrounds/themes? Are there any previews of them? I would really love some transparency on this, if possible. Please help this nerd achieve the hashtag-aesthetic. Thanks!

Nothing is promised as far as I know just the line it says: "Purchasing this pre-order will immediately unlock 6 exclusive character sheet backgrounds created from art in the book."

Hmmm. Yeah, I did see that, but it sure isn't informative when it comes to wondering what portrait frames or other stuff will be available on the full release date lmao. In previous pre-orders, did things have similarly nonexistent info about it before release? Trying to gauge if the lack of info is because there's always a lack of info, or if it means there literally won't be those assets.

I prepurchased Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, and it also said "Purchasing this pre-order will immediately unlock 6 exclusive character sheet backgrounds created from art in the book." Obviously, I obtained my 6 background sheets after my preorder, but I got a lot more after the book was released.
7 EGTW Frames
21 EGTW God Frames (Each one representing a different God mentioned in the book)
10 more EGTW backgrounds that were added after release
6 new color themes that were added (But I am unable to remember whether I received them after I prepurchased the book, or after it got released)
Assuming MOoT will follow this outline relatively the same, I'd say you would receive a few backgrounds, theme colors, and a few portrait frames to match the new look. I am also planning on preordering the book because I also adore aesthetics xD

I hope this helped :)
Damn. Now I wish that I had pre-ordered it! :)

So I just purchased Theros, and I now have a bunch of new stuff in the character viewer (I'm assuming that the categories starting with MOOT are entirely Theros preorder stuff):
MOOT Frames - 15
MOOT Gods Frames - 15
MOOT Backdrops - 6
MOOT Themes - 5
The animated frames are particularly pretty.
