I know that alignment is controversial in the D&D community these days but I still use it in play. Mostly to avoid min max mulity classing munchkins.
:)
CN: the most munchkiniest, murder hoboiest, EXP-mongeringiest alignment around.
(I'm mostly joking...but only mostly. 90% of all out-of-control munchkin slaughterfest characters I've encountered were CN. It's fine if used right, but it's the most common excuse for "I'll do whatever I want" behavior there is.)
the character sheet is designed as a tool for the player - not really the for the DM. i can't recall ever having to look at any of my characters' alignments after writing them down - its not page 1-worth imo.
i suspect you're wanting a dungeon master's character sheet - which isn't what the current sheet is designed for. and even as a DM, you're still talking about a stat that hardly ever changes.
besides, every player will find a stat/ability/feature they want on the front page - i have no desire to have a character sheet with size 4 font.
I wouldn't put Alignment on the FIRST page. I've had many players through the years that didn't want to reveal their true alignment. Keep it at least hidden on page 2. :)

What does alignment have to do with multiclassing? None of the classes have alignment restrictions.
Also, considering there are basically zero rule mechanics related to alignment in 5e, what on earth does alignment have to do with min maxing which is, by definition, focused on rules mechanics???
Lastly, alignment is already on the character sheet - both the web version and PDF. Not sure what moving where it is displayed would do to change player behavior.

Even if it were on the front page there is no requirement to filling it out.

I think they should make it a drop-down list, but leave CN off the list entirely.
Looking for new subclasses, spells, magic items, feats, and races? Opinions welcome :)
Why so?

I agree there should be alignment, it is an excellent mechanic that I like to use

Page two then would be fine, or in one of the sub categories, it should definitely be on there imo.
