So I am playing a Harpers character, who is just...well, whacko.
He believes his crowbar is magical and thinks it reveals prophecies and wise words(RP-only). Thus, I dubbed this character is "Blemish of Harpers."
I was thinking, if my character made wacky theme song for Harpers like below, would it be lame or funny or just bat-shit insane? And yes, I will sing this out loud for RP's sake.
Young man, there's no need to feel calm I said, young man, draw your weapon off the sheath I said, young man, 'cause you're in a new dungeon There's no need to be unhappy
Young man, there's a place you can go I said, young man, when you're short on camadarie You can ask around, and I'm sure you will find Many heroes to go with you
It's fun to stay at the HRPS*(Short for HaRPerS) It's fun to stay at the HRPS
They have everything for you items to enjoy You can hang out with the good boys
It's fun to stay at the HRPS It's fun to stay at the HRPS
You can get yourself healed, you can have a resurrection You can get whatever you need
It depends on your group tbh. If it were in my group, a line or two sung at a time would be funny but the whole thing at once would teeter between cringe and feeling like we're wasting time. But if your group is the type to eat up this overt kinda humor then yeah more power to you.
Side note; I'd recommend getting the syllables and rhymes more in line with the actual song, that would help a lot in it feeling more fun and less forced.

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
*warning: Contains not-so-sane stuff*

I was in a game where the player running the bard insisted on writing songs based on our adventures and then singing them during sessions.
It's one of the reasons I left that game.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
niiiice I like this.
Thaks man!
