Hello everybody. I have several physical books. Is there a way to add their content to D&D beyond to my account? Or is the only way to do it is to buy them again but on this site? Physical books have been bought between 2021 and 2023.
Sorry, there is no way to do this. There are several threads on this topic from over the years that explain why, but I don’t have the links to post right now.
Like most physical and digital books/movies/games/etc., you have to buy them again on each different medium/platform. Similarly, if you want to use digital books on Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, and Foundry, you have to buy them again on each of those platforms.
If you don't want to do it manually, you have to either buy them manually or join a campaign with someone who already has them on DDB and someone who has a master tier subscription.
Alternatively, you can do it manually. You can "homebrew" the statblocks and so forth which will allow you to use them in the character creator etc (but you won't get the lore etc). The only rule is that you can't publish the homebrew if it's from official content - but you don't need to in order to use it for yourself.
A note with that though - it does take time. It works out that it's usually more efficient to go do work even at a minimum wage job (in America and similarly paid countries) and then buy the things you want than it is to do it yourself. The tool is more for things you want but aren't available on DDB at all - but if money is tight or you just don't want to pay on principle, then the option is there.

Essentially, they're just here to get you to spend another copy for the digital version, so if it weren't for the money, they would have printed the activation code in the physical book a long time ago, but they didn't, which is to tell you that dndbeyond needs to be repaid.

D&D Beyond started as an independent company (started by Curse, then bought out by Fandom) before being acquired by Wizards of the Coast. As such, putting codes in books "a long time ago" wouldn't have been possible then, just like it's not possible now. Not entirely sure what you mean by "dndbeyond needs to be repaid" though

本质上他们就是为了让你为数字版再花一份钱的,所以如果不是为了赚钱,他们早就会在实体书里印上激活码的,但是他们没有,这就是明摆着告诉你,dndbeyond是需要重新付费的。

Ohhh, though that since Wizards bought D&Dbeyond it would be possible to add already bought books here. Too bad.

That's probably a problem with machine translation, I'm talking about re-paying
You are not re-paying. You are buying a different product.
If you buy a book from Amazon, you don’t also get the kindle version free.
