i used to use orcpub2, which had sword coast content for its creation tool, but it got shutdown. does DDB have sword coast content in the character creation tool? cause my character was a half elf variant with the cantrip, and i cant seem to do that here. maybe im missing something?
In many ways, if the kickstarter had been successful, that would have been a way worse situation, as then people would have paid money for access to illegally reproduced content on the site.
i dont know if the ultimate plan was to sell the product to DnD? although I kinda wish that they'd have given him a job offer instead of a cease and desist letter. :(
I try to avoid such discussions, because nobody, other than Wizards of the Coast and the owner of OrcPub actually know what discussions took place between them and what offers may have been made or by whom.
It's also important to note that the whole situation was nothing to do with Curse or D&D Beyond.
Also - this is heading massively off-topic and there are already enough discussions ongoing on these forums about OrcPub.

D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast: D&D 5th edition SRD, D&D 5th edition Basic Rules, and Elemental Evil Companion.
Content from other sources, such as the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, or Monster Manual, will need to be purchased from the Marketplace or accessed via another user sharing content with you via their Master Tier Subscription.
OH, ok i get it now. Thank you for the information XD
it's too bad they didnt meet their kickstarter funding goal. very good resource.
