i cant find how to create armour but class it as clothing. I want to create a item of clothing that I can equip as armour for a monk class. monk classes get disadvantage when using armour and it remove unarmoured Defence. does anyone know how to create clothing to equip as amour?
I like using glamoured studded leather when playing as a bard or rogue, except I play it as the armour actually changes into that item of clothing but still gives the benefit of the armour.
It is generally just assumed that characters are wearing clothing, it doesn't affect their stats at all. Wearing clothing is functionally identical to being naked, it's only when wearing specifically armor that your apparel starts to affect game mechanics.
If your clothing armor would provide some other magical effect of some kind, you can just make it equipable the old fashioned way, it doesn't go specifically in the armor slot.

Consider magical clothing +1- unarmoured defense will still prevail.

Simple question - why?
