I'm trying to update the Blood Hunter to a post Tasha's world for my table with some subtle yet casual changes to some wording.
Specifically, I'm looking at the Order of the Lycan right now concerning it's claw attacks. Currently as written it falsely appeals to the two weapon fighting style and that's a huge let down for me personally.
One simple fix I'm considering is just allowing the unarmed fighting style.
The other idea I have it's replacing parts of Predatory Strikes ability with the language used from the Path of Beasts Barbarian's Claw attack and the Proficiency/Weapon Types of the Dhampir's Bite attack. (Help using "official" wording would be appreciated)
"Predatory Strikes. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a simple melee weapon with which you are proficient if it’s empty. You can apply your Crimson Rite feature to both of your claws as a single weapon. You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolIs of your claws. Your claws deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action.
The damage increases to 1d8 at 11th level."
Do these seem like balanced upgrades? Should I just go the simple road with the Fighting Style or the rework of Predatory Strikes?
Any other Blood Hunter upgrades I should be considering?
