Im working on a sorcerous style subclass for a non-sorcerer class. I am just trying to get a feel if people think this feature is cool or unnecessary or somewhere in between:Conduit of
Conduit of Magic Starting at 6th level, your very existence alters how magic works around you. At the end of a long rest, roll a d20.
<10. If you roll a number greater than 10, you become an insulator of magical energy. If a hostile creature uses a spell that targets multiple creatures, you count as two creatures for the purposes of targeting. If this causes the spell to be unable to target you, you are unaffected by the effects of the spell, but still gain Siphoned Aspects as normal, unless the target can and chooses to target another creature.
>10. If you roll a number lower than 10, you become a conductor of magical energy. If a friendly creature uses a spell that targets multiple of its allies, you do not count against the number of targets the caster can affect.
=10. If you roll a 10 or a natural 20 on the d20, you gain the access to both of these features.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses after you finish a long rest.
what class is this for what are siphoned ascpects.Second this feature only happens a long rest but recharges on... a long rest. You can do away with the entire last line the feature is usable only once per long rest anyway.
Its for a homebrew class, and i dont really wanna bog down the concept of this ability by explaining all the ins and outs of it. For the purposes of this just ignore Siphoned Aspects, that was oversight on my part.
As for your second point, its not that it only takes effect at the end of a long rest; its more like the Druid-Circle of Stars feature where you roll a die to determine which part of the feature you have access to during that day. But i will take that as i need to clean up the wording a little bit
