I came across the idea in the Forgotten Realms Wiki about putting Ioun Stones into weapons. My group was gifted a dagger, and I was looking to make it a little more interesting. I came across the Reserve Ioun Stone and thought that would be pretty cool. Almost like having a wand that you recharge.
But then I started thinking maybe the stone doesn't need to be focused on to absorb the spell. Maybe they just need to be touching the dagger when the spell is cast. Maybe if you stabbed someone while they were casting, the dagger would just absorb it. Or, dissipate it. Almost like a counterspell. Not sure this is a good idea. Any thoughts?
