How would a player go about selling homebrew spells they’ve created within the campaign for gp? What do you think about the royalty component from Acquisitions Incorporated?
Acquisitions Incorporated has vast resources, politically, economically, magically. Far more than the typical adventurer. And I believe that it was these vast and varied resources that enabled Jim Darkmagic and party to craft spells that incorporate royalties into their casting. Far beyond crafting new spells, I don't see how your character could learn to incorporate a mandatory part of the spell that teleports coins from the caster to you.
There's also the issue that such a royalty feature would result in your character gaining far in excess more money than the other characters.
If the DM allows a character to craft custom spells, then the character could reasonably be able to craft scrolls of it, and sell them, though to balance the additional money, your character would have to find buyers, and you could expect to encounter other spellcasters in the world who might use the spell against you.
