Hey y’all! So I’m trying to create a Bard subclass, and the 14th level feature is giving me issues. I’m essentially trying to make it like the Wizard’s 18th level class feature, Spell Mastery, with the exception that it applies to only enchantment and illusion spells known by the Bard, and I can’t seem to figure out how to create such a feature.
If I can get it to where they can use the feature to select any spell known and not restricted to those two schools, I can live with that as I trust my player to only select from the two schools.
Is this even possible? I know how to grant access to any one spell and change it to not use a spell slot and be useable at will, but I was wondering if there was a way to get the drop down option type feature that wizard has. If not, I can just go through and manually change the feature if and when they decide to change out spells.
In the feature, under the spells tab, add a new spell. In the spell, you have boxes for “Spell”, “Spell Levels”, and “Spell Class”.
You can enter multiple spells into “Spell” and in the builder, players will be able to choose from those spells. This is the only way to do enchantment and illusion as there’s no way to restrict spell selection by school.
Spell level restricts spell selection by level, and spell class restricts it to a class’s spell list.

I hope this helps!
