I have hombrewed a Cleric and Fighter (in the mold of the Eldritch Knight) subclass and am now adding homebrewed spells that would fit both perfectly. So I made these spells available to my Fighter subclass, my Cleric subclass and the Blood Hunter of the Order of the Profane Soul.
Now to my problem: While for the Blood Hunter and thre Fighter the spells simply appear as options when choosing spells (as intended), the spells appear along the Domain spells as always prepared for my Cleric subclass.
Is there a way to make these spells simply appear as options for my Cleric subclass to chose from without having to add the spells to the entire Cleric Class ?
Thanks in advance to anyone who might have the slightest snippet of information on this matter !!
I can select my own homebrewn subclasses too, but anyway I also tried with the official Death Cleric and the same thing happens. Seems to be as Stormknight said that Clerics work a bit differently
Can you add subclass spell lists as additional spell lists of a subclass? Maybe you can add your custom spells to a separate list, then make that list available to the subclass.

Hi there,
cleric subclasses work a little differently to other classes like Wizard (as you've seen) because that's how cleric domains work.
You can make your homebrew spells available to clerics by editing your spell and adding the cleric class there.

Ok so I have to make the spells available to the entire clas and can't simply add it to a subclass. That's what I thought...
Thank you Stormknight for your quick answer !!
You can select subclasses. But only official subclasses I think.

If that works, I don't know how to create a new spell list from scratch...
