I was thinking "If I fell asleep one night, and woke up next day in a world of magic, what class would I be"
And after realising that this was the plot to a dozen different anime's, decided on sorcerer. After all, its the best class. Then I considered subclass. Well its a dangerous world, so obviously Abjurer.
"Ein minuten bitter!" thats a wizard subclass. Thats not gonna work, or is it?
Could you put a wizard subclass (or even visa versa) on a sorcerer, with a few minor amendments, why not? For example, many wizard subclasses get to inscribe spells of their sphere for 1/2 price. Well just swap that for knowing 1 free spell of your sphere in each spell circle. For example, an Evoker sorcerer might start with Chromatic Orb for free, and at level 3 get Scorching ray, or something of that nature.
Could this work for other classes too?
And I agree, multiclassing solves most of this nonsense, but if you where only going for 1 class, could this be an option?
