In Case Someone Homebrews My Favorite 3.5e Class(Duskblade) Homebrew Special Equipment
So here is something I came up with in a campaign I was apart of when the DM asked us all to come up with magical equipment that could possibly be "found" by our characters( I was a Bugbear Duskblade lol). Tweak as you see fit. I pulled from the Celestial class and the ability Vax got from Deathwalker's Ward(Crit Role Campaign 1)
BTW: I have only been in 3ish campaigns so forgive me if this is overpowered or just straight up terrible.
Herald of the Eventide
Lore:
It was said in ancient time a secret sect of Duskblades known as The Eventide Aggregation roamed the lands. The Aggregation was a mystery to all those outside the royal family, for the Aggregation was a kind of secret enforcement that helped to maintain the balance of power in the land. One of their main enforcers a known as Morkoth, held the title of Herald of the Eventide. The Herald was known for having a set of armor and weapons of the same name that were said to be crafted from the strongest earthly materials by the finest dwarven blacksmiths and enchanted by elves of the purest bloodlines unique to each elected Herald. Morkoth, a man of not only of the wild but of simplicity and battle, only had plate, bracers, and a greatsword crafted to be used as his implements of war. As legend has it Morkoth lost his life in the Great War against Tiamat and as a last wish he asked to be buried not with the other Heralds but in a separate tomb with his comrades in parts unknown.
Herald of the Eventide:
(All must be attuned to a Duskblade)
Greatsword of the Herald:
+2 STR, +2 CON
Ancestral Pride: Wielding this blade allows the Duskblade to channel the burning passion of his ancestors causing his form to burst with celestial light and blinds for 1d4 turns(DC15). The blade itself burns with a bright light and sears with each cut causing 1d4 burn damage/2 lvls.
Breastplate of the Herald:
+2 AC, +1 CON
Dwarven Manfulness: Wearing the armor, The Duskblade wielder may tap the armor and channel the resolute defense of it’s dwarven creators. The wielder may tap the armor once per day and activate the Stoneskin enchantment (10min/lvl). The Stoneskin enchantment, once dispelled, will only return after the wearer takes a long rest.
Bracers of the Herald:
+1 AC, +1 INT
Elven Astuteness: Channeling the Knowledge of the Arcane, the Duskblade wielder may store up to (1) 1st Lvl spell in each bracer. Upon achieving 3rd lvl spells and higher it takes the effort of both bracers to store a 3rd lvl or higher spell. The wielder may store spells equal to that of a 3rd lvl spell(A 1st lvl & 2nd lvl) or a 4th lvl ( 2 2nd lvl spells). Once the spells are expended the effect is dispelled until a long rest is taken.
The Herald’s Congregation
All parts of Herald of the Eventide
Blessing of the Eventide: Assembling the pieces of the Herald have allowed the Duskblade to tap into a divine power. A pair of radiant wings erupt from the back of the armor and the Duskblade begins to pulse a radiant low. The armor allows the wearer to cast fly once per day for a total of 2 hours and may only be regained after a long rest. The radiant glow is a healing aura that lasts for 1d6 turns and heals for 1d6/3 caster levels.
